Biography
Clarissa was born on 15 September 1862 in Cramahe, Ontario, Canada. She was the daughter of John A Johnston and Mary Ann Leturno.[1]
In the 1871 census Clarissa (age 8) was living in Northumberland East, Ontario, Canada.[1]
When Clarissa was 17 she married Silas Dildine Phillips on 24 December 1879 in Apsley, Ontario, Canada. The couple had 10 children: Mary Jane Phillips, Emma Phillips, Olive Anna Phillips, Sadie Phillips, GEORGE Dildine Phillips, William Ephraim Phillips, Earnest Phillips, Mathew Marshall Phillips, James Elgin Phillips and Adeline Grace Phillips.[2]
In the 1901 census Clarissa (age 38) was living in Chandos, Peterborough (East/est), Ontario, Canada.[3]
