Research Notes
It is very likely, that there were two sons of Timothey Johnson called Timothy : one born in June 1805 in New Hampshire, who died in early childhood, and another born in May 1809 in New York, who died in 1889 in Michigan. It used to be quite common to give a child the name of a brother or sister born before him, who had already passed away, usually in infancy. If there were indeed two brothers with the same name, that would explain the double birth dates shown in various sources. [5]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Timothy by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
