Roy Donald Johnson

JOHNSON, Roy Donald – Age 79 of Oakland passed away June 27, 1997 at his home. He was born July 8, 1918 in Denver, Colorado and had been a resident of Oakland for the past 55 years. Roy married Lola M. Whitehead on March 15, 1938 in Littleton, Colorado. He enjoyed bowling and woodcrafts. He had his own woodshop and made many different items. Roy is survived by his wife, Lola of Oakland, Oregon; a son, Ronald D. Johnson of Hillsboro, Oregon; his daughter, Carollee Johnson of Nashville, Tennessee and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, July 2, 1997 at 11 a.m. in the Cedar Hill Cemetery near Oakland with Pastor Doyle Collins of the Vine Street Baptist Church, officiating. Chapel of the Firs in Sutherlin are in charge of arrangements.
