Biography

Thomas Johnson, son of William and Sarah Johnson, was born 21 Sep 1847 in Churchtown, North Meols, Lancashire.^[1] Note: Thomas's full birth certificate has been shared online. His mother's name was given as Sarah Johnson, formerly Wright. It seems her first married name (Wright) was given, rather than her maiden name (Howard). Thomas and his wife Mary's birthdates have also been confirmed by a Family Bible found on Ancestry.com.

Thomas, son of William Johnson, labourer, and his wife Sarah, of Churchtown, was baptized on 7 May 1848 in North Meols, Lancashire.^[2]

Thomas married Mary Rimmer in 1870.^[3]

Thomas Johnson of 113 Heysham Road, Southport, died 1 Jan 1930, with probate of his will granted in Liverpool on 19 Feb 1930 to Richard Johnson, gardener, and Sarah Johnson, spinster.^[4] Thomas was buried at St. Cuthbert's Churchyard.^[5]
