William H. Johnson Jr., 88, died Wednesday afternoon at the District Home near Waynesboro bro, where he had made his home for the past two years.
He was born September 9, 1862, in Augusta County, son of the late William H. and Elizabeth Burfet Johnson. Besides his wife, Mrs. Mary Mayo Johnson, he is survived by five sons, Kenny and John, both of Charlottesville, Thomas, of Greenwood, William, of Staunton, and Charles, of Ivy; three daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Lewis and Mrs. Emma Bishop, both of Charlottesville, and Mrs. Virgie Woodson, of Staunton, and one brother, Robert Johnson, of Waynesboro.
The funeral will be held at 10:30 o'clock tomorrow morning from the Etter Funeral Home, in Waynesboro, the service to be conducted by the Rev. C. Newman Faulconer, D.D. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery.
