Swantie came to the United States in 1892. His wife Ida Anderson, and him had 5 children together: Annie E (Johnson) Daniels Mastroddi, Adolphus Theodore Johnson, Fredric E Johnson, Johnson-60299|Adelaine L (Johnson) Buckley]], and Gladys M (Johnson) Buckley. He passed on 1-25-1941 and is buried at Comstock Cemetery, Uncasville, CT #43449966. Him and his wife raised 2 of his grandchildren after their parents passed on. He also has a road in Uncasville named after him. Swanty Johnson Road.
