Biography

Isaac Johnson was born at Schodack, New York, on 9 March 1813, a son of Jacob Johnson and Cornelia Nichols.^[1] He was baptized in the Reformed Dutch Church of Schodack, New York, on 11 April 1813.^[2]

His wife was Sarah Maria [Loucks].

The 1850 U.S. Census recorded Isaac Johnson in Schodack, Rensselaer County, New York, with the following household members: Isaac Johnson 37, Sarah M Johnson 37, Charity A Johnson 11, George W Johnson 9, Lewis L Johnson 7, Normon Johnson 5, John L A Johnson 2. Isaac was a laborer, reporting $1400 in real estate. All household members were born in New York.^[3]

The New York State Census of 1855 recorded 43-year-old Isaac Johnson and his 43-year-old wife Sarah M. Johnson in Schodack, Rensselaer County, New York. Family members were all born in Rensselaer County. He died 21 March 1860 and is buried in Nassau-Schodack Cemetery, Nassau, Rensselaer County, New York.^[5]
