GERTRUDE WRIGHT Gertrude Wright, 90, Tarkio, MO (formerly of Fairfax, MO and the St. Joseph, MO area), passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2001. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday, August 10, at Tharp Cemetery, Craig, MO. Memorials to Community Hospital or United Methodist Church, both in Fairfax, MO.

Mrs. Wright was born January 13, 1911, near Fairfax, MO on a farm and had lived in Fairfax most of her life. She attended rural schools and graduated from Fairfax High School in 1928. She worked in administration at the Community Hospital and had also worked as a telephone operator in Fairfax. She was a member of the Fairfax United Methodist Church. She married Moran G. Wright. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, Charles and Peal Johnson and two brothers, Ralph and Cecil Johnson. She is survived by daughters, Mrs. Barbara Simmons, Tarkio, MO and Mrs. Jacque Eikenberry, Overland Park, KS; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
