Biography
Ruth Wynn Johnson was born in Rossland, British Columbia on June 21, 1897, and christened at St. James Church, Burrard Inlet and North Arm, on August 26, 1897[1]. She was the daughter of Charles Edgar Wynn Johnson and Mary Mabel Twigge.
At the time of the 1901 Canada Census, Frances, Samuel, and Sydney Twigge (mistranscribed as "Fuigge") were listed as living in Vancouver, British Columbia, along with Samuel and Frances' granddaughters Ruth and Elisabeth Johnson, a domestic, and a cook[2].
Ruth married William Woodward in Alkali Lake, British Columbia on October 26, 1921[3].
Ruth died in Saanich, British Columbia on April 17, 1972[4], and was buried in Saint Stephen's Anglican Church Cemetery, Saanich[5].
