Biography

Birth & Upbringing: Faith (often called Charity) was born in Chartham, Kent and was the daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth (nee Bourne) Johnson [1] She was baptized on 18 March 1992.
Own Family: Faith married James Field also known as Hedgecock [2] and together they raised 8 children in the Northgate area of Canterbury. [3] [4]
Known Residences: Northgate Street, St Mary Northgate, Canterbury, Kent, England; [1] [5]
Demise: She died, aged 91 years, in March 1880 at Canterbury, Kent, England
Burial: Faith Field was buried at St Gregory, Canterbury, Kent on 28 March 1880 [6]

Research Notes

Disputes: The marriage of Charity to James Hedgecock (rather than Field) is subject to further research, since there is perhaps some anomaly as to how Hedgecock became Field and why two of the sons had second name Edgecock.
