Tom was born 4 Jul 1812 in Montgomery County, Kentucky, United States to Jacob and Ann (Masterson) Johnson [1]

He married Lizzie Peters in 1871.[2]

Tom was a prominent Kentucky politician and soldier. He was a delegates from Kentucky to the Confederate Provisional Congress, 1861-62. After the war he served in the Kentucky House of Representatives from 1876 to 1877 and in the Kentucky State Senate from 1878 to 1882.[1][3]

  • Only one Thomas Johnson in Montgomery County, in 1850 and 1860. Also in the Slave Schedule census.[10][11]
