Ebenezer Johnson was born in Norwich, Connecticut, on January 25, 1693-4, the son of John Johnson.[1]
Ebenezer was of Norwich, West Farms (now Franklin), Connecticut. On February 26, 1713-14, his father deeded him forty-three acres of land in Norwich near his homestead. In 1719 he owned several tracts in the town, among them a grant of forty acres, a piece of about twenty-two acres, and a four acre sheep lot.[2]
His wife Deborah died August 22, 1778, "in ye 82d year of her Age" (Gravestone).[13] Ebenezer Johnson died in Norwich on April 13, 1779, "in ye 86th year of his Age" (Gravestone).[14] He is buried at Plains Cemetery in Franklin, Connecticut, where he shares a double gravestone with his wife.
