Her tombstone is engraved with birth year of 1846; however, based on census records, the year is more than likely 1866. Her last name at birth is also spelled Johnson, and her father's name is spelled Johnson on his tombstone. Because of fires at the courthouse in Randolph County, many records prior to about 1886 are lost; however, her marriage probably happened about 1882.
