Biography
Thomas Bass Johnston was born in London in 1807, the son of Francis Johnston and Elizabeth (Ellis) Johnston and he died unmarried in 1831.
In his father's will, dated 30 Jun 1814, and proved on 1 Sept 1828, Francis Johnston stated that he left:
"All my goods to Elizabeth my wife for her life and after her decease to be equally divided among my children except my son Thomas Bass, he having been amply provided for under the Will of Mrs Isabella Bass of Woolwich and more amply than I can do for his brother and sisters."[1]
