I was appointed family historian by my grandmother and some of her sisters in 1962. I agreed to write, not memorize, and proceeded to do so. The beginning seemed straightforward. I'd write out what I was told and move on to things of greater interest to me. I must admit to being hooked. Totally. Thanks, Nannie! Now I am retired and happy to have more time to devote to genealogy.

I am always happy to connect with others who are or might be connected with profiles I manage, though not all are related to me. Contact me with questions about them.

Thanks for catching my Hawkin-42/43 duplication. I don't know how I accomplished that. Sometimes when I add a new profile, it takes time to show up, so I think it did not go through. This does make me check "Ancestry" for new hints.

Are you related to this line, or just doing a general clean-up?

Cheers, Jason

I am a descendant of Grace Braginton Hawkins' brother Lawrence. I'm working on that line at present. Thank you for all the work you did on it. I nearly missed Grace's family, and might have gone on without knowing about them without it.

Hi Judith...I tryed to compare my gedmatch number with yours and has came up as error kit?
Thank You, Thank you, thank you Judith !! Your adding that Harrison and "Johnson" marriage info.. solved another brick wall !
I did that because she spoke Sioux, and from what is noted in her biography, she had more than passing play relationship with the Sioux. Take it off if you don't like it. Dog comment not very nice.

A pioneer girl who played with Sioux should not be labelled Sioux any more than playing with anything else earns a child that label. Most of us could be called dogs on that basis!

Hi. Re Cowan profiles, you do not need to transfer them to me. THanks for the thought.
