The company was organized at Spartanburg, Spartanburg District, South Carolina, on 17 January, 1861.[1] Lost his left arm, Jackson, Virginia in 1864.
Washington Hood Jolley married Annie Catherine Martin, [2]the widow of Wilkes Scruggs [3]and the daughter of Robert "Bob" Martin and Delila Byars ,[4][5]a descendent of Martin Martin and Dicey Hicks. Wilkes Scruggs had been killed in the Civil War. [6]
He Is buried in the Martin Cemetery plot in Cherokee County, South Carolina.
