Annever was named in her father Robert Jollife (-1655)'s will of 1655. She also witnessed the will. [1] It is probable that she was at least 15 years old when she signed the will making her birth before 1640.
As a spinster, Annever wrote a will before her marriage to Thomas Brickell (abt.1635-1718) in 1691. In this will she refers to an agreement between herself, her intended husband Thomas and her brother Robert Jollife (bef.1643-abt.1708) her brother John Jollife (1643-) and John Brickell (1633-1712)of West Orchard which allowed her, in spite of her 'intended coverture', to make her own will disposing of £500 from her property in Manston, Dorsett. The £500 was divided as follows
The indenture was dated 5 September 1691, the will was dated 11 September 1691.[2]
Her marriage to Thomas Brickell (abt.1635-1718) took place at his home parish of Motcombe, Dorset. The date of the event is not clear in the register but may have been 17th September 1691 [3]
Annever and Thomas had no children. Annever died in July 1700 and was buried in her home parish of Shaftesbury, St James [4]
Although her will was written as a spinster, using her married name, it appears to have been accepted as valid, probate was granted on 10 August 1700 [5]
