William John Jolliffe was born in 1774 in Westminster, London, England, the son of William Jolliffe and Eleanor Hylton.[1] He was the brother of George Jolliffe RN and Frances J. (Jolliffe) Raitt.
William married Julia Pytches on January 10, 1799 in St. James' Church, London, Middlesex, England. They were the parents of William G. Jolliffe 1st Bt.[2] Julia and John had two children:
