Biography

William Jolly is believed to have been born about 1797 in South Carolina , the son of John Jolly.

William married Frances Coker on October 29, 1818 in Georgia.

  • John Jolly (b. abt 1825)
  • Martha Jolly (b. abt 1828)

The 1850 U.S. Census lists William at the age of 53 with his wife Frances and five children living on a farm in Lauderdale County, Mississippi.[1]


William Jolly died June 30, 1867 in Sumner, Tallahatchie County, Mississippi.
