Clara (Jonasdotter) Hoaglund migrated from Sweden in 15 May 1889 to America.

Klara Kristina Jonasdotter left her home Högelund in Svenarum, together with five children, in May 1889 with destionation "N. Amerika".[1]

Clara was born on 12 September 1852 in Sweden, Scandinavia.[2]

In 1895 Clara (age about 42) was living in Laing, Rawlins County, KS, USA. Note: C.K. Hauglund age 43[3]

In 1900 Clara (age about 47) was living in Laing, Rawlins County, KS, USA. Note: Line 21: Clara K Hoagland, wife. Age 47 born September 1859 in Sweden. Immigrated in 1889. Married 30 years with 8 children, all living.[4]

In 1905 Clara (age about 52) was living in Laing, Rawlins County, KS, USA. Note: Age 52[2]

In 1910 Clara (age about 57) was living in Laing, Rawlins County, KS, USA. Note: Line 75: Clara Hoagland, age 57. Widowed. All 8 of her children still living.[5]

In 1920 Clara (age about 67) was living in Rockford, Winnebago County, IL, USA. Note: Line 85: Clara Hoagland, age 67, born in Sweden. Widowed and living with her daughter Amy’s family.[6]

Clara died at the age of 69 on 25 June 1922 in KS, USA.[7]

Clara was buried after 25 June 1922 in Herndon Covenant Cemetery, Rawlins County, KS, USA.[7][8]

  • From original Gedcom: Made a living by making matchboxes with her daughters while her husband and oldest daughter were in the US and she was still in Sweden.
  • A Clara Christina Velhelmina Jonasdotter was christened in Malmbäck, Jönköping, Sweden in August 13, 1854. This was the daughter of Jonas Jakobsson and Annika Hansdotter.[11]
