Biography

Obedience Emily Susan Jones was born on May 3, 1846, in Carrollton, Illinois to John Preston and Julia Ann (Adams) Jones. She married George McGehee on January 19, 1867, in Carrollton, Illinois. They were the parents of Daniel Simpson (1868–1890), Celia Ann Turner (1872–1908), John Albert (1875–1942), Elizabeth Cortney Caroline (1878–1967), Robert Marion Everland (1881–1884), George Millard Harrison (1883–1884), Henry G. (1886-1954), and Benjamin Charles (1888–1944). She died on March 5, 1919, in Canon City, Colorado at the age of 72, and was buried in Lakeside Cemetery in Canon City, Colorado.
