Biography

From genform.geanologt.com Alfred Jones, Person Co, NC>Scott Co,VA Alfred Jones married Elizabeth(Betsy) Hamblin/Hamblen in Person Co., NC ca 1816. They later moved to Scott Co., VA. In the 1850 census, Alfred Jones was listed as about 60 years old, his wife Elizabeth was in her 50's. They had a son William about 23, A son Augustus, and a couple of other children that I can't remember the names at the moment. Also in the household was a 65 year old woman named Polly Williams. Alfred and Elizabeth also had an older daughter named Polly that was married to a Hamlin Williams and was not living at home
