Hello, wondering if you are have been spending any time on family history? We were in email contact a few years ago (or several years ago)….. I have been working on Brodnax family….. My husband is a descendant of Brodnax family through Thomas Whitaker Brodnax (son of Robert Brodnax and Olive Taylor Whitaker. My Husband would like to join the Jamestowne Society and I am reviewing/organizing and gathering information on the Brodnax family. I am looking for “proof” (deed, will, Bible records or ?) that Robert (b.1792) was the son of John Brodnax/Martha Rivers, and that Thomas Whitaker Brodnax was the son of Robert Brodnax and Olive Taylor Whitaker. Do you have any ideas? Do you have anything that will help? I am happy to share what I have. Oh.. also wondering if you know anything about the portrait images for Robert Brodnax and Olive T Whitaker that were added to Ancestry and Find-a-grave? Thanks so much.

Hi.

There is a Son of the American Revolution available that lists these Brodnaxes. I found something about it on Ancestry.com. Maybe that will help. All I know about those portraits is that they are at a museum in Virginia.

I am new to Wikitree. My grandfather was a Brodnax and I have information that I could send to add to the page on Thomas Whitaker Brodnax for his son John Robert. John Robert was my great-great grandfather. How do I go about sending information to update pages?

Thank you for time and information.

I SO need help. I’m related to you guys somehow. My father Curtis Rodney Jones and my uncle William Keith Jones have been told that a Curtis Jones was there father. If you guys have ANY missing people or unknown mothers please contact me

Hi - I'm entering information on my great-great grandfather, Francis Asbury Miles. His birth and death info match the info you have for Francis Ashbury Miles. I'm thinking it could be the same person. Your thoughts? Thank you, Leisa Duncan

Hi Kay,

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.

I have corrected my Wilson Ellis. He was actually born abt 1837 in AL. I don't know where the error came from because I at one time had him correct but must have picked some bad information up somewhere. Thanks for letting me know. Melinda

Your message: Hi, I think there is a problem with this family. Wilson Owen belongs to a different mother. There were 2 Jeremiah Ellis's in Alabama and maybe these 2 families are mixed up. Wilson's sister Hannah, dtr of Jeremiah and Emma Buckner, is my ancestor. Source; Jones-21308

Thank you, Kay, for volunteering to help grow our worldwide family tree.

Our Honor Code, G2G message forum, help pages, search features, and many other useful links can be accessed from the menus on the upper right corner of most pages.

VERY IMPORTANT: The more documents, sources, dates, and locations you provide on the profiles you create, the stronger your branches and our mutual global tree will be. If you don't know the correct date, please estimate using before or after.

Our mission is to build a global tree with just one profile per person, so please try very hard not to add any duplicates to our shared tree.

Hope you enjoy WikiTree!
