William Jones was a Virginia colonist.

Came to America as a young man and settled in Virginia. He moved with his family to South Carolina. He, his wife, Mary Whitlock, and some of their children are buried in the old cemetery on the original homestead of Wm.Jones. He purchased land on County Line Creek in Caswell Co. where he may have had a mill. Moved to Laurens Co in South Caolina

William was born in 1735. He passed away in 1823.
