Biography
Violet was born in 1909 in Home Township, Newaygo County, Michigan, to Julius Laverne Jones and Bertha M. Shinedecker. In 1920 the family lived in Leavitt, Oceana County. She married William Peterson in 1927. They lived in Beaver, Newaygo County. They had eight children. He died in 1977. In 1990 she was in Wyoming (as was son Norman). She died in Grand Rapids in 1996 and was buried with William and two of their sons in Lilley Township Cemetery, Newaygo County.
