Edward Francis (Frank) Jones was born on 6 Feb 1864 in La Tranchee, France to parents Edward Jones and Sarah Foulkes. His family had moved from Wales to France for his father to be trained as a smelting consultant. They returned to Wales after 1861 and immigrated to America in 1872 where his father worked as a smelting consultant in Missouri, Pennsylvania and Colorado. When he was 16 he worked in a brickyard in Denver, Colorado when his mother died in 1880. He ran away to California and traveled to Shanghai and around Cape Horn to Liverpool (family report). He married Rovilla Elliott on 6 Jun 1888 in Denver, Colorado. Children: Alice Rovilla, Estella (Stella) Mae, Ethel Elizabeth, Edward (Ted) Roy. He died on 25 Sep 1934 in Douglas, Cochise, Arizona.
