Minnie was born in 1874 and died in 1942. [1]
In a paternity case in 1898, Minnie alleged that the father of her son Alfred Parker Beale aka Frederick Cunningham was Alfred Parker, a gardener from Tonbridge - he denied the allegation. The magistrate heard that Minnie had been stepping out with someone called Tapp for three or four years until two weeks before she met Alfred in early 1897. Parker alleged that Minnie had seduced him and offered him money to marry her.
The circumstantial evidence is conflicting but whilst Alfred denied the charge, a DNA test taken by one of Minnie's grandsons suggests a link to this Parker family. He has two matches on Ancestry which share a common link - Edward Parker and Hannah Cook who are believed to be Alfred Parker's parents. Both of the matches are estimated to be 4th to 6th cousins of the tester.
Two matches on 23andme have been linked to the same Parker family. The first is via Edward Parker's sister Ann Elizabeth Parker and her 'husband' Ambrose Bradbury .
The second is to a descendant of Edward's cousin Henry Parker whose daughter Lydia Parker married James John E Bateman. The match to their grandchildren is predicted to be a third to fifth cousin of Fred's son.
A fifth DNA match connects to Hannah Cook's parents, John Cook and Elizabeth Eagles.
Based on this all of this Fred's father has been entered as Alfred Parker.
