Biography

Nettie C. Jones was born on 31 Jul 1886 in Arkansas. She was the daughter of Oliver Jones and Cora A. Johnson. Nettie passed away in Arkansas on 26 Apr 1974 and was buried in the Bee Branch Cemetery, Bee Branch, Arkansas.^[1][2]

1900 Census: Nettie C. Jones, age 13, is living with her parents, Oliver S. (39) and Dora A. (35) Jones, in the Bradley Township area of Van Buren County, Arkansas. the record notes that Nettie was born in Arkansas during July of 1886. Also in the household are Nettie's siblings William A. (11), Letha M. (10), and Effie M. (8).^[3]

22 Sep 1907: Miss Nettie Jones, age 21, and W. R. Harmon, age 29< are married in Van Buren County, Arkansas.^[4][5]

1910 Census: Nettie (23) and Robert (32) Harmon are living in Barnett, Arkansas. The record shows that Nettie was born in Arkansas and that she had been married to Robert for 2 years.^[6]

1930 Census: Nettie 944) and W. R. (53) Harmon are now living in the Clifton Township area of Faulkner County, Arkansas. The reord indicates that Nettie was born in Arkansas and that she married W. R. when she was 21 years old.The couple have adopted a son.^[7]
