Biography

Moses Jones was born in Lledrod, Cardiganshire, Wales.

Moses/Mosses Jones was born circa 2 July 1832, presumably in Lledrod, Cardiganshire, Wales, to Mary Evans and John Jones. Moses was christened on 1 Sep 1832, at Rhydlwyd Calvinistic Methodist, in Lledrod. ^[1]

In the 1840s and 1850s, Moses lived with his parents and various siblings in Aberystwyth, Cardiganshire, where his father worked as a "proprietor of houses." Moses was attending school at this time. ^{[2] [3]}
