VADA COMER Vada Comer, 87, of Itasca died Friday, September 20, at a Hillsboro hospital. She was born November 20, 1914 in Mount Pleasant, daughter of William and Nancy Otellie Richardson Jones, and moved to Milford as a small child. She had lived in Itasca since 1932. She was member of Loveview Baptist Church. She married J. B. Comer September 18, 1932, and he preceded her in death May 18, 1984. She was also preceded in death by one son, George, in 1942; and two grandsons, Adam Comer, May 29, 1995 and James Comer, January 7, 1996. Survivors include: four children and their spouses, Richard and Juanita Comer and Hollis and Sue Comer, all of Itasca, Ann and F. L. Upchurch of Whitney and Dorothy and Melvin Hestand of Hillsboro; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, September 23, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with James Sellers officiating. Burial was at Itasca Cemetery. Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
