Biography

Jane (or Sarah Jane) was born in Dalton-in-Furness. She was baptised in Dalton-in-Furness on 30 December 1867.^[1]

In 1891 Jane was married and living with her parents and some of her siblings in Dalton. It is not known where her husband was on the night of the 1891 census.^[2]

In 1901 Jane was living with her son Walter along with her parents, brother Frederick and niece Annie in Dalton. Jane gave her marital status as married; it is not known where her husband was on the night of the 1901 Census.^[3]
