Elizabeth, daughter of Vinson and Elizabeth Jones was married in 1786 in Bedford, County, Virginia. ^[9]

In 1790, he is in the census for Wilkes County, North Carolina. ^[10]

In 1791, he was granted 160 acres of land in Wilkes County, North Carolina:

Know ye that we have granted unto Vincent Jones one hundred and sixty acres of land in Wilkes County. On the north fork of the New River beginning at a poplar tree near a branch running then West one hundred and sixty poles to a stake near the river bank. Then North one hundred and sixty poles crossing said river to a chestnut and white oak then East one hundred and sixty poles cross a branch to a stake then South one hundred and sixty poles crossing said river to the first station. To hold to the said Vincent Jones his heirs and assigns forever dated the 20th Dec 1791.
