"Ev" or "Bitty" was born July 3, 1943. He received most of his education while in Tipton Oklahoma. However, his final couple of years of high school were spent in Stockton, California after his parents relocated for work.
Around 1961 Everett joined the Army and was stationed at Fort Riley army base in Riley County, Kansas. While stationed at Fort Riley, he met his wife (still living) while out on the town with some buddies. It was a whirlwind romance and not much more than six months later they were married before he was sent to Schofield Barracks in Honolulu, Hawaii.
While in Honolulu, the couple had their first child (still living). Bitty was an excellent marksman and received awards for his marksmanship. During maneuvers, he found a silver dollar on a hill which was tucked inside his first child's baby book with a note stating it was found around the time of birth,
The couple was expecting their second child during their return from Hawaii. After a short stop in California to visit Bitty's parents, they returned to Kansas to live with his In-Laws. He was officially, honorably discharged in 1966.
Eventually, Ev got a job with the Kansas Highway Department and the family moved to Kansas City. After a few years of marriage, Ev and his wife divorced, but managed to remain friends.
After his divorce, Ev moved around (something his sister referred to as itchy feet), He was in Kansas City, a couple of places in California and a couple of other places before settling back in Tipton, Oklahoma in his 30's.
He married again after a visit to his children and ex-wife to meet his new wife and her two to three year old daughter. He was married a very short time before dying in a terrible accident. He had settled in Tipton and leased an auto shop where he was working alone when a car fell off the jack and crushed him. He was 33 years old.
The day after his funeral, his father passed away. The two are buried sided by side in the Tipton Cemetery in Tillman County, Oklahoma.
