Biography
"Leonard E. Jones of Lakeland, FL, 90 yrs. old, died Friday, September 14, 2007 of heart failure. Mr. Jones was born in Canonsburg, PA April 29, 1917. He was a U.S. Navy WWII Veteran and retired Lt. from the Merchant Marines. After retiring as an engineer at Ford Motor he moved to Lakeland in 1978. Mr. Jones is survived by his son, David Jones and his wife Missy of Mt. Pleasant, NC; 2 grandchildren, Jennifer Foley, Matthew Jones and 1 great-grandchild. Leonard was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Jones. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, September 17, 2007 at Lakeland Memorial Gardens."
