George was born in West Derby, Lancashire, England, on May 18, 1913. He was the son of Richard Jones, and Ada Fisher. He was one of eleven children. George married Grace M. Woods, in Crosby, Lancashire, England, in 1941. George and Grace would have at least six children. George passed away on March 22, 1983, in Wales.
