Henry Jones was born about 1834 in Georgia.[1] He was the son of Clayton Jones and Malissa Rouse.[1] Henry is found in the household of his stepfather, Harmon Gaskins and mother, Merissia (on 1850 census) who has remarried to Harmon after Henry's father Clayton Jones died.[1]
Henry married Elizabeth Griner on January 25, 1858 in Berrien County.[2] They are living in Berrien County with no children in the 1860 census.[3]
Possibly died during the civil war. See research notes.
Research Notes
Henry's wife, according to Family Search tree [4] married Micajah Paulk on November 1, 1866 in Berrien County.[5] If this is Elizabeth Griner, who was Polly Ann Jones, then Henry likely died in the Civil War.
