Richard, wife Louisa & 5 children arrived October 1829. Louisa (nee Goldsmith) died after giving birth to Joseph (23/12/1830). Joseph died 3 mths later. Richard (a Plumber & Glazier) did the windows on the first St George's Cathedral. He also owned land from St. George's Tce to Hay St which later sold for £8,000. The family built a house 'Southampton' in Blackwood River area. Richard, Louisa, Joseph & Mary Ann are all buried at East Perth Cemetery.
