Biography

Florrie Jones was born in 1902 in Leigh. She was the fourth child and second daughter of Hugh Jones and Mary Ellen (Rigby) Jones.

By April 2nd 1911, the family were living in Common Lane Street, Westleigh. Mary's mother Margaret was living with them. They were running a furniture shop, and had seven children.

Florrie's father died 7 Aug 1914.

Florrie's mother died on April 5th 1939.

Research Notes

She probably married Walter Dunnington in 1927 in Leigh district, and if so then she was born on 21 Nov 1902, and they are buried in Lowton St Luke Churchyard. But we need the marriage record, or her birth date, to confirm it's definitely the right Florrie Jones as there were others born in December quarter 1902 in other places.
