Military
Minter was a cook in Company H of the Illinois National Gaurd in Chicago, Illinois. Enlisting on 22 June 1916. [7][8]
Minter filed his draft registration on 7 Jun 1918 at Fulton, Illinois. He listed his age as 27 and stated he was a single unemployed cook.[3]
Immigration
Minter departed Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia aboard the 5587 gross ton cargo vessel SS West Mahwah arriving Honolulu, Hawaii 9 Oct 1920.[9]

It is not known exactly when or where Minter died however there is a clue in the 1937 San Francisco City directory showing his wife Mary as a widow.[18]
