Biography
Mary Jones was born about 1787 at Virginia, Colonial British America. She was the daughter of John Jones (abt.1750-1819) and Jane (Ellis) Jones (1754-1843).[citation needed]
Mary married Alexander Thompson 20 May 1809 in Greene County, Tennessee,[1][2] and had at least 5 children:[3]
- Henry Thompson, born 11 Jan 1815, married Charity May Pickering 18 February 1836 in Greene Co. TN. Henry died: 28 MAY 1899 in Greene County, Tennessee and is buried at Union Temple Cemetery.
- Rebecca Thompson, born 25 December 1816, married Nathaniel Pickering 5 June 1838. Rebecca died 27 NOV 1858 in Greene County, Tennessee and is buried at New Hope Cemetery.
- Nathaniel Thompson, born 1819, married Irena Newman June 1849. Nathaniel died in 1898 at Albany, Missouri.
- Hannah Thompson, born 1821, married Andrew Robertson 4 July 1839 in Greene County. Tennessee. Hannah died after 1894.
- Sarah Thompson, born 1 June 1823; married Alpheus Doty. Sarah died 29 JAN 1906 at Greene County. Tennessee and is buried at Union Temple Cemetery.
Mary (Jones) Thompson passed away about 1871.
