1851 In the 1851 Canadian Census, Oliver, 29, is living in Moncton, Westmorland, New Brunswick, Canada, a widow, with children, Andrew, 8, Wilhelmina, 6, Noah, 4, and Samuel, 2, with servant Lucy Miller. [4][5] It is possible Noah and Samuel are switched and actually supposed to be 2 and 4 in age respectively, as that is how they are listed in the 1861 census.

On 2 June 1852 in Fredericton, York, New Brunswick, Canada, Oliver Jones married Catherine Garden Simpson [6]. Witnesses to the marriage were Mary Elizabeth Simpson and Jacob [S?] Jones.

Marriage to Elizabeth Jane Beer
On 21 July 1863, Oliver Jones married Elizabeth Jane Beer in Prince Edward Island, Canada [12]. He is cited as an Esquire in the marriage record. Witnesses to the marriage were Eleander Evans and George Beer.[13]
She was born 19 February 1844, to George Beer and Mary Ann Holland, and died 5 February 1927 in Moncton [14]

1881 In the 1881 Canadian Census, Oliver, 59, is living with his wife, Elizabet[h], 37, in Moncton, Westmorland, New Brunswick, Canada with children Andrew, 15, Randolph, 9, Middleton, 7, and Elizabeth, 5 [20]
1891 In the 1891 Canadian Census, Oliver, 69, is living in Moncton, Westmorland, New Brunswick, Canada, with wife, Elizabeth [I/J], 43, Andrew, 24, [Gurney?] R, 20, Middleton B, 18, Elizabeth, 16, Charlotte, 6, and servant Bella Hicks, 20 [21][22]
Death
Following Oliver's Death, his three sons donated $1,002 to Foreign Missions [23]
He bought a large family vault[24] in Elmwood Cemetery prior to his death. Following his entombment, a group of men attempted to break in, and almost succeded in forcing the door. Guards were hired to watch the vault for the rest of the winter.
His will was probated in Dorchester in December. Real estate: $12,000. Personal $78,000. The proctor was D. I. Welch.[25]
