As the England Project Leaders, we are completing our six monthly check-in with all project members.
Are you happy to stay in your current project team(s)? Which team(s) are you most active in? Are there other teams you would like to join or become more active in?
Also, do you have any feedback on what the project is doing well and anything we could do better in the future?
Please respond to this message by posting a reply below or sending me a private message. I look forward to hearing from you.
Hey Nic - I'm floating around in Lincolnshire - slowly working my way through the unconnecteds. Enjoying the hanging out in Discord and learning lots as I do.
Thank you for joining the Mighty Oaks for the Clean-A-Thon and congratulations on your work during the CAT what an amazing result for the Mighty Oaks we fixed 32,841 suggestions.
Altogether the teams fixed a grand total of 233,558 profile suggestions. We hope you had fun while cleaning the tree.
Thank you Frances for the lead and clarification on my 3rd great grandmother's, Lucinda "Lucy" Rouse, last name. Some documents misidentified the last name as "Rouel", but I had a feeling the last name could have been "Rouse" since there was a person living in their household in England with that last name. We'll see where this goes. Thanks again so much.
I could not help notice the surname "Rouse". Do you know if this Lucy is related to Sarah Ann Rouse? The only info I have on Sarah is that she was married to George William Flowers (1847-1892) and they had at least six children...
I was connecting - I'll see if I can find it again! The Lucy seems to have a brother Richard, born 1809 in Grantham - so that would make them likely too old to be Sarah Ann's silbings. Lucy hasn't had a profile created yet, but here is her daughter: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Ludlow-996
Thanks for self-certifying for the Pre-1700 badge! Collaboration with Pre-1700 Project members is essential for those wishing to edit Pre-1700 profiles. Collaboration is essential because those ancestors are usually shared by many descendants.
It looks like the England Project would be a good fit based on your branch of WikiTree. Review the project page to learn about resources and guidelines as well as how to collaborate with the project members.
Do you have any questions? Let me know. I'm happy to help! :-)
Remember to cite reliable sources in pre-1700 profiles you manage, or edit. (See: Pre-1700 Reliable Sources).
I don't know the family group at all - was tracking down connectors challenge. I doubt her name is -married - but I can't find a definite source for what it is.
One of our mentors created a tutorial for the GEDCOMpare process that others found very helpful. I hope that you will too.
