Maria was born on 16 January 1842 in Mörlunda, Kalmar, Sweden[1][2]. She was the daughter of "Torpare" Jonas Jaensson and Anna Lisa Nilsdotter[1][2][3][4][5]. She was baptized on 23 January 1842.[1]

1861 oct 22 her father "Torpare" Jonas Jaensson passed away 53 years old[6][5]. Death reason unknown. Maria Sofia was then 19 years old.

1861 moved to Thulunda and worked as a "piga" (eng. farmhand)[7]

1862 moved back to Stora Ekeberg from page 152[5][7]

1867 may 11 brother Lars August (1850 24/7) and Maria Sofia emigrates to North America[8][9]

1870 may 27 mother Anna Lisa Nilsdotter (born 1813 ?/4) emigrates to North America with daughter Mathilda Jonsdotter (born 1855 10/6)[8][10]

1871 aug 1 brother Lars August born 1850 24/7 emigrates to North Amerika[8][11]

She married Svante Abramson on 11 September 1869 in Buda, Bureau County, Illinois.[12] In 1870, they lived in Concord, Bureau County, Illinois.[13] By 1880, they had moved to McPherson County, Kansas.[14] By 1895, they were living in Morris County, Kansas.[15]

Maria died on 28 February 1901 in Burdick, Morris County, Kansas.[12] She was buried in Hebron Lutheran Church Cemetery, Burdick, Morris County, Kansas.[12]
