She married Svante Abramson on 11 September 1869 in Buda, Bureau County, Illinois.[12] In 1870, they lived in Concord, Bureau County, Illinois.[13] By 1880, they had moved to McPherson County, Kansas.[14] By 1895, they were living in Morris County, Kansas.[15]
Maria died on 28 February 1901 in Burdick, Morris County, Kansas.[12] She was buried in Hebron Lutheran Church Cemetery, Burdick, Morris County, Kansas.[12]
