When Anna Sofia Jordaan was born on January 27, 1903, in Serowe, Central Botswana, Botswana, her father, Lodewicus, was 23, and her mother, Susanna, was 18. She married Bertie William Cooper and they had four children together. She then married Oswald Burnaby "OB" PIKE and they had one son together. She died on June 13, 1982, in Warwick, Queensland, Australia, at the age of 79, and was buried there.
In 1908 Anna Jordaan and her surviving 4 sibling arrived as orphans in Livingston, Nthn Rhodesia with other surviving members of the Lombard family. They had been travelling on a trek from South Africa to Livingston when struck by the Spanish flu.
