Biography =
Alexander het groot geword naby Onderstepoort in Pretoria Noord. Hy het sy laerskool loopbaan begin in 1935 aan die Pretoria Noord Afrikaans Mediun skool wat ook bekend gestaan het as die Broodblik. In 1948 is die laerskool die Laerskool Danie Malan gedoop. In 1942 gaan hy na die Afrikaanse Hoër Seunskool in Pretoria. Daagliks vanaf die Pretoria Noord treinstasie na die skool gery. Na voltooing van sy hoërskool loopbaan werk hy In die Pretoriase Stadsraad in die Tesourie afdeling en eindig sy loopbaan daar as Hoof Rekenmeester.
