Biography
Robert “Bob” Jordan was born on November 29, 1928 in Nebraska City, NE; the son of William “Bud” and Emily “Peg” (Koharski) Jordan. He attended school in Nebraska City and Omaha.
On December 23, 1945, Bob was united in marriage to Marquerite “Marge” H. Jenkins at Hiawatha, KS.
He worked at various gas stations during his lifetime, including Fitzekam’s Gas Station and Haverty’s Gas Station in Nebraska City. He retired from Haverty’s Gas Station. Bob was a lifetime member of the Eagles.
He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Marge Jordan of Nebraska City; children: Rick Jordan and wife Rita of Anderson, MO, Jerry Jordan and wife Chris of Orlando, FL, Craig Jordan and wife Parris of West Plains, MO, Steve Jordan and wife Becky of Omaha, NE, Larry Jordan of Anderson, MO, Curt Jordan and wife Wendy of Anderson, MO, Margie Hoss and husband Todd of Omaha, NE; 28 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren; siblings: Bill Jordan of Hot Springs, AK, Julia Winningham of Hot Springs, AK and Faith Koch and husband Ray of Missouri Valley, IA; other family and friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Bud and Peg Jordan; son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Trudy Jordan; and three siblings: Gary, Barb and Nancy.
Robert Jordan entered eternal peace on September 12, 2018 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Nebraska City, NE.
