Joseph was born in 1915. He is the son of Joseph Jordan and Cleo Arnold. His mother died in 1918. In 1930, he was living with his widowed father and sister in Point Pleasant, Mason, West Virginia.[1] By 1940, he was living with his father and stepmother, Anna, in Point Pleasant, Mason, West Virginia.[2]
