Mary Jane was born about 1845. [1] She was the daughter of James Jordan, farmer, and Anna Gourley [2] and lived at Muff, Lissan, County Londonderry as of 1864.

On 12 Jan 1864 at the Church of Ireland Parish Church, Lissan,she married Robert Bell of Drumgrass, son of James Bell. [3]

The couple immediately emigrated to Australia, with their first child being born in November that same year.

She passed away 6 Dec 1913 in Queensland, Australia. [2]
