Stephen was born in 1833, in Betchworth, Surrey, England and baptised 20 Jan 1833 in Betchworth, Surrey, England. He was the son of George Jordan and Ann Deakins. [1]
At the age of 13 years, Stephen was tried in the Central Criminal Court in the County of Surrey on 15 September 1845 for larceny, and was imprisoned for two months. [2]
He married Elizabeth Mary Taylor in 1871, in Surrey, England. [3] The children of Stephen and Elizabeth were: i) Charlotte Jordan (1859-); ii) Elizabeth Emma Jordon (1863-); iii) William George Jordon (1865-); iv) Stephen John Jordon (1874-); v) Frederick Henry Jordon (1879-); vi) Annie Rebecca Jordon (1884-).
He passed away in the fourth quarter of 1893, in Surrey, England. [4]
