Recorded 20 Dec 1826 in book, Will Record "D", Gibson Co., IN lists heirs

Over Jordan, who appears next to Edmond Jordan on the 1792 tax list of Wilkes County, is believed to be the younger brother of Edmond from Northampton, NC. Another example was found on the 1791 land plat of Josiah Jordan. The plat shows several people with land adjoining Josiah, one of whom is Edmond Jordan, his second cousin.

1790: Over Jordan appears in the 1790 census of Northampton Co, NC[2]

1800: An Over Jordan appears in the 1800 U.S. Census in Marlboro, Cheraws District, South Carolina. Uncertain whether it is the same man. He is the 26-44 age category.[3]

1801: A River Jordan (believed to be Over) appears in the Williamson Co, TN Tax Book in 1801

1810: There is a land assessment for "Over R. Jordan" in Posey Township, Harrison, Indiana, on 27 Jan 1810. [4]

1820: "Over R. Jordan" is listed in the U.S. Census in Gibson County, Indiana. [5] (A Levi Jordan is also listed in Gibson County in 1820. Possibly a brother?)
